We read what you actually play and pick co-op games in that spirit, minus the ones you own, PvP-first games and party filler.

The first list is for the co-op format, not a genre: a shared open world where your group builds, runs a business or a scheme, and messes around. It takes the games from the last three years with 3,000+ reviews at 88% or better, and ranks them by how much of that format their player tags describe.
This page is for people who have already played the co-op classics. Every game on it has a co-op mode on Steam (online, LAN or shared screen) and a player-voted co-op tag among its 12 most popular tags, so co-op is something people actually play it for. Games built around PvP, VR-only games, prologues and demos are left out, and so is every game in our main co-op top 50.
Fresh hits came out in the last 18 months, counting from the first day anyone could play them, so an old Early Access game reaching 1.0 is not new here. Rising now uses the same review pace as our Trending page, measured against each game's own previous weeks, and skips games on a deep sale. Underrated games have 1,000 to 20,000 reviews at 90% positive or better and sit outside the 500 most-reviewed and most-owned games on Steam.
Inside each list, games are ordered by how well they are reviewed, with small samples pulled toward the average so 300 glowing reviews don't outrank 10,000 nearly-as-glowing ones. The lists refresh every hour.
On purpose. This page leaves out every game in our main co-op top 50 and Steam's most-reviewed games, because people looking for new co-op games have usually played those already. The full ranking lives on our best co-op games page.
Two checks have to agree: the developer lists a co-op mode on Steam (online, LAN or shared screen), and players voted a co-op tag into the game's 12 most popular tags. Games built around PvP are left out even when Steam lists a co-op mode.
Yes. Every card has an Already played button that hides it on this device. If you sign in with Steam, games from your Steam library and games you marked as played are hidden automatically.
The lists are rebuilt every hour from Steam review data. Rising now moves the most, because it follows each game's review pace over the last week.
