About this list
A lot of survival players want the gathering, the building and the hunger meter, not a server full of people waiting to raid them. The genre's biggest names on Steam are also its most PvP-heavy.
So we started from three of them (Rust, ARK and DayZ) and removed every game where PvP is the point. What's left is survival you can play alone, with friends, or on PvE servers. Some games here keep an optional PvP mode that's off unless you turn it on.
What the filter removes
No PvP removes games where PvP is the point: games whose top Steam tags include PvP, Competitive, Battle Royale, Hero Shooter or MOBA; multiplayer games with PvP and no single-player mode; PvP MMOs; and PvP games that sell in-app purchases. Games with an optional PvP mode alongside a single-player or co-op campaign stay on the list.
